Four points to remember when moving into a paying guest house

Although paying guest accommodation is exceptional way to live out of your home and eases your daily life and responsibilities, but there are certain things that you need to take care of when moving as a PG because every PG house has protocol that one is supposed to follow and which can literary lead into a misunderstanding resulting into another search for a good place to live:

1. Discuss about the facilities at paying guest house in detail: Whenever you are moving into a paying guest house never hesitate to discuss about the facilities in the detail. For an instance your landlord might be providing you with every electronic appliance you might need but make sure that whether electricity bill will be additional or you have to pay for it, how many people will be accommodated with you, whether there will be a facility of maid in the pg or not etc.

2. Family background: When you are moving to live in with a family in paying guest house it’s necessary to know about their background, culture, tradition & values so that you don’t have issues that arise from the above said points also from your security point of view it’s also important you are living with good people.

3.Mode of commutation from PG to your office or college: Ask them about the best mode and route that you might take daily for your office or college and decide whether it’s feasible for you to manage the daily travel without much pressure.

4.Bringing Outsiders:  None of the paying guest house owners allow outsiders, unless there is some emergency.  As outsiders are not only a problem to them but their presence might be objected by other people living over there or parents of the other PG members might question landlord about their presence. Therefore it’s highly recommended to take permission of the landlord if you are bringing some outsider and also check with your roommate if he/she is good with it.

If you take care of the above points then it’s for sure that you can easily live and adjust with people with minimal effort and will enjoy your stay to the maximum.
