1) Connectivity - How is the road connectivity and transport facility to the place.
2) Locality : Is there enough of street lighting available, what kind of crowd lives in nearby area/houses.
3) Guard/guardian: Is there any guardian or guard available to help you out in case of any trouble.
The advantage of living in a guarded paying guest is that not only it provide shelter but in case of any health related emergency too people there could act as a moral support.
